Have you noticed all the wattle trees on Leanganook (Mount Alexander) look like their dying. Fireblight Beetles are the cause. They are native so don’t panic too much. But long term I wonder about the health of these trees.
Lots of questions come to mind. Is this a really good year for the beetles? Why haven’t I noticed it before? Is it climate related? Will the wattles recover?
